Stepword does not collect, store, or share any personal data.
What this means in practice
- No account. The app has no sign-up and no login.
- No tracking. No analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs are included.
- Offline by design. Daily puzzles are generated on your device. Your progress (streaks, stats, settings) is stored only on your device and never leaves it.
- Optional word audio. If you tap the speaker button, a word may be sent to a text-to-speech service to be read aloud. Only the word itself is sent; nothing about you is attached.
- Purchases. The optional one-time purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.
Children
Stepword contains no mature content and is rated 4+. Because no data is collected, no data from children is collected either.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
